The ground rules
Some ground rules that we follow at voidschema:
- Liking waffles doesn’t mean we hate pancakes: We talk about a variety of technologies here, but we’re not compensated in any way. Furthermore, we have friends who work at just about all the major tech providers, so we have no interest in preferring one over the other.
- No weird LinkedIn behavior: The copypasta. The performative “look at me" theatrics. The bad hot takes that make excuses for bad behavior and short term decision-making. Nostradamus claims. We’re all incredibly sick of it.
- Chicken Little need not apply: We don’t engage in speculation that AI, quantum technology, or whatever else will destroy the economy. Technological change is what it is and you can’t arrest change.
- This is a private publication: Just need to formally mention that nothing we say should ever be construed as a policy or political position representing an employer or professional partner. It’s just us.
The name
voidschema is like some weird, random line out of a William Gibsonesque cyberpunk novel, right?
