About

Most writing about data and technology is a void schema: a structure that looks substantial until you inspect it.

We try to be different.

voidschema is a periodic dispatch covering data preparedness and implementation in high-regulation environments, building real data capability inside constrained organizations, and early-stage research into quantum technology that’s actually implementable. Not theoretical. Not vendor-driven. Practitioner-first.

The author

The lead author is a chief data officer who has spent over a decade building a large-scale data function from the ground up: financial forecasting, data engineering, analytics, governance, and the organizational work that makes all of it stick. He’s currently active and hands-on, which means what gets written here comes from someone still in-the-work, not someone who was in-the-work a decade ago.

Ground rules

No LinkedIn performance. No sycophantism. Technological advancement is a net good; tech-messiah behavior is strange and counterproductive. Positions on policy and technology are personal but held with conviction, and subject to change when more evidence rolls in.

That’s it. No manifesto.
